| The Islamic School of MET ISMET is a non-profit and privately funded Islamic School, Pre-K, K-5th grades, began operation on September 8, 1997. The primary goal of ISMET is to create a comprehensive program of teaching and learning experiences for our children within a truly Islamic environment. School Objectives 1. To create a quality learning environment for the students within an Islamic atmosphere. 2. To promote the development of concepts, skills, and problem solving . 3. To provide age appropriate instruction in Qur’an, Arabic language, Islamic studies and history. 4. To promote the development of an Islamic personality. 5. To prepare Muslim youth who are capable of making a positive and useful contribution to society. 7. To prepare Muslims to lead conscious lives and make wise choices. ISMET is registered with the State of Oregon. All core subjects are given: Arabic and Islamic Studies, Math, Language Arts, Science, Social Studies etc. with the addition of Computers, Art and Physical Education.
