For Immediate Release: The Muslim Community Stands Up against Hate and Bigotry, in solidarity with the three brave gentlemen who put their lives on the line as they protected two Muslim women aboard the MAX at the Hollywood Station yesterday, Friday, May 26, 2017.

When slurs of hate were shouted towards the Muslim women, three bystanders took it upon themselves to stand up against hate and bigotry, two of whom ended up losing their lives as a result of a brutal stabbing. We grieve and honor their lives, and extend our deepest condolences to the families of these victims and everyone affected by this traumatic encounter.

Please come to a Vigil tonight, Saturday, May 27 at 8:30 pm at the Muslim Educational Trust (MET) as we honor the victims and their families and honor the good Samaritans who put their lives on the line for standing up to do what is right.

You can help support the victims at LaunchGood in donating to the families of the three people attacked yesterday on the max.
